Imagination wins four platinum awards at the MarCom Awards
20 October 2022We’re thrilled to announce that our Detroit team received four platinum awards at the MarCom Awards for our collaboration with Ford on the Ford F-150 Lightning Reveal and our work with the Detroit Youth Choir on “Sweet Child O’ Mine” in a drive to reduce gun violence.
Working with the team at Ford, the F-150 Lightning Reveal took home two platinum awards in the Strategic Communications category for Marketing/Promotion Campaign of the Year and for Communications and Public Relations Campaign of the Year.
The team proposed a dynamic, memorable, and meaningful launch using substantial data and insights to break through the noise. The aim was to inspire confidence in electric vehicles across America to seize the moment and create a paradigm shift in the entire narrative of electric vehicles and an electric vehicle lifestyle.
The reveal saw the F-150 Lightning take charge of the electric truck conversation, and drove 200,000 vehicle reservations in the weeks after the reveal.
We're also proud that our work with the Detroit Youth Choir and Yessian Music received top honors with two platinum awards–one in the Pro Bono Category and one for Best Non-Profit Video. The rendition of a new version of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” called for more action to reduce gun violence to create safer schools and communities. The video told the story of 11 year old Layla Salazar who was tragically killed in Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, along with 18 of her school friends and 2 teachers.
The video was shared by the former President of the United States, Barack Obama and received widespread national media including BillBoard.
Alistair Wilson, Managing Director of Imagination Detroit, said; “We continue to be incredibly inspired by this young group of talented change makers from Detroit. Their view of the future is one we all want to live in. We hope our collaboration to lift up their voices inspires others to continue the necessary work to find solutions that make our schools and our communities safer from gun violence."
